What equipment do I need?

All you need is a computer, an internet connection, and our license for the UKTelly Toolbar and Internet Explorer 6 or 7…that’s it!

Can I use the your UKTelly toolbar on more than one computer?

Yes you can, however you need a license for each computer you’d like to watch UK Television on. If you update or change your computer, you will be able transfer your original licence to a new computer no problems!

Do I get Live TV or is it some kind of download?

Yes you definitely get real streaming UK TV channels. There are a number of browsers to use, like BBC iplayer, and we tell you about them in the download instructions. You can also use the Catch up players on the TV station websites to watch the previous weeks TV.

If these channels are available on the internet in the UK for free, what are we paying for?

That’s a good question!! The websites and browsers are freely available but only work in the UK. We sell you a service to connect to our private network in the UK. This makes your PC or laptop appear to be in the UK. So you can watch UK TV channels and see their websites as if you were in the UK.

You just click on our UKTelly Toolbar whenever you want to watch UK TV, select the channel you require and va va voom…its as simple as that!

Are you retransmitting UK TV programmes. Isnt that illegal?

No - we don't host or retransmit any British TV as that would be illegal. We only sell you access to our private network to the UK Internet. This enables your computer to access the internet as if in the UK. We'll point you in the right direction giving you the various websites and browser options.

I have an internet speed of around 1 Mbps ADSL is that enough to use your UKTelly Toolbar?

Yes it is enough speed for most of the on demand services offered by the BBc, ITV and Five. Live channels generally need internet speeds of at least 1 Mbps. If you can then we recommend that you go with 2 Megabit (2 Mbps) connection then you will be able to watch everything without any problem.

I Understand that I can get most of the Freeview channels do I also get the Sky channels as thought they were subscription?

There are several Sky channels or programs available at no extra cost. There are other channels available at an extra cost or if you or your family already has Sky in the UK. You will also need to subscribe to the Sky Multiroom option to get the most from your Skyplayer service…but then that gives you live Sky Sports and Movies anywhere in the world!.

I´m using your UKTelly Toolbar right now on my laptop but how do I watch it on my flat screen TV?

Your Laptop should have a female S Video connection - You just need an S Video lead to your TV and it will feed the signal into your Plasma or LCD TV. If your laptop or PC is older then you can buy a small connecter box that connects to your VGA port at the back of your computer then a yellow video phono lead to your TV.

I need to get my sports fix…can UKTelly Toolbar help?

Of course!! BBC, ITV and Five have their fair share for free sport including some of the Premier League games.

But I´m in Sydney and there´s an 8 hour time difference??

No worries mate! Most of the content from the UK´s leading TV channels in now on demand so you can watch them up to 15 days later.... at anytime.... instantly!
